Began with the name of Horse Luvir's Club & Registry by Brandie Hooper (now O'Hanlon) in 1986 then changed to Model Horse Luvir's Club & Registry by Emily Wilmot (now Pugh) in 1988, and then the name changed once more to MHECR by Emily in 1992! This club has gone through many changes in the past 12 years!

5) Description/Purpose of Club (Ex.- Arabians Only, Draft Horses, etc.):
All breeds of horses and most makes such as original finish, plastics, remakes, porcelains, Chinas By Breyer, Peter Stone etc. "Barbie" or Little Pony types are not allowed.
6) List of Special Sections/Areas, if any (Ex.-Novice, Junior, Intermediate):
Currently Novice Youth and Advanced Adult. Pending divisions are Advanced Youth and Novice Adult.
7) Do you meet or are you a mail club?
MHECR is currently a mail club. If there are enough members in the local area at any given time monthly meeting/get togethers will be held!

Monthly if local membership increases.

By age group: 12 & under-$8 (renewals $8), 13 through 16 years-$12 (renewals $10), 17 & up-$15 (renewals $10).

Novice and Advanced club photo shows are held monthly.

Novic Youth - $1.00 unlimited
Advanced up to 50 pix - $1.00, 50 to 100 pix - $2.00, and Unlimited $3.00

Year End Awards are given annually.

The Model Equine Hobbyist is published bimonthly, as well as online accessible.

Members also receive two 30 word classified ads per issue.

Photos are currently scanned free with ad.

MHECR has many different types of members, from the competitive model horse shower to people who enjoy collecting, selling, making tack, building props, and or remaking models. Members are encouraged to hold at least one club photo show a year and contribute to the club newsletter. Points from club related shows are automatically tallied by the pointkeeper. Entry fees from club photo shows help pay for Year End Awards such as trophies, ribbons, rosettes, and model horse tack is also given. When requesting information, please mention how/where you found out about MHECR. Please send a large SASE with two .32 cent stamps for complete rulesheets. Regular LSASE (#10 envalope) with all inquiries. Hope to hear from you!
